A discussion meeting with international students was held on 03 October 2024 at 07:00 pm in the Syed Nazrul Islam Conference Hall. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A K Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan enlightened the program as the Chief Guest. Respected Convener, Dean Council Professor Dr.  Khandaker Md. Mostafizur Rahman; Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Science Professor Dr. Abdul Awal; Dean, Faculty of Agriculture Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rabbani;  Student Advisor, Students’ Affairs Division Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Haque, and Convener,  Provost’s Council Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin were present as Special Guests. The program was presided over by the Director of the International Desk Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam. A total of 65 international students from Nepal, Malaysia and Japan attended the program. Two students namely Sudha Wagle from the Faculty of Agriculture  and Purushottam Narayan Gautam from the Faculty of Veterinary Science were honored for their outstanding academic achievements among the international students. When foreign students raised accommodation and related issues, the respected guests gave different suggestions and honorable Vice Chancellor assured to look into the issues.

বাংলাদেশ কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিদেশী শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত

গত ০৩/১০/২৪ তারিখ সন্ধ্যা ৭:০০ টায় বাংলাদেশ কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সৈয়দ নজরুল ইসলাম কনফারেন্স হলে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো বিদেশী ছাত্র—ছাত্রীদের সাথে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসনের এক মতবিনিময় সভা। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর প্রফেসর ড.এ. কে. ফজলুল হক ভূঁইয়া। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ডিন কাউন্সিলের সম্মানিত আহ্বায়ক প্রফেসর ড.খন্দকার মোঃ মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান, ভেটেরিনারি অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন ড. মোঃ আব্দুল আউয়াল, কৃষি অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন প্রফেসর ড.মোঃ গোলাম রাব্বানী, সম্মানিত ছাত্র—বিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা প্রফেসর ড.মোঃ শহীদুল হক ও প্রভোস্ট কাউন্সিল—এর সম্মানিত আহবায়ক প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ রুহুল আমিন। অনুষ্ঠানটির সভাপতিত্ব করেন অত্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ডেস্ক—এর পরিচালক প্রফেসর ডঃ মোঃ শহিদুল ইসলাম। অনুষ্ঠানে দুইজন বিদেশি মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীকে পুরষ্কৃত করা হয়। যাদের মধ্যে কৃষি অনুষদের সুধা ওয়াগলে পেয়েছে সিজিপিএ ৩.৯৩, যা এ পর্যন্ত বিদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ এবং ভেটেরিনারি অনুষদের পুরুষত্তাম নারায়ন গৌতম অর্জিত সিজিপিএ ছিল ৩.৯১। অনুষ্ঠানে মালয়েশিয়া, জাপান ও নেপালের ৬৫ জন শিক্ষার্থী অংশগ্রহণ করেন। নেপালি ছাত্র বিবেক—এর সঞ্চালনায় বিদেশি ছাত্র—ছাত্রী আবাসন সমস্যা ও সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়সমূহ উত্থাপন করলে উপস্থিত অতিথিবৃন্দ সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে পরামর্শ দেন এবং মাননীয় ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর বিষয়গুলির উপর যথাযথ নজর দেওয়ার আশ্বাস দেন।
